Dr. Alex Urteaga, a leading podiatrist in New Braunfels, Texas, provides exceptional foot and ankle care at the Foot and Ankle Clinic of Central Texas. With a conservative approach to treatment and the latest technology, Dr. Urteaga ensures the best outcomes for his patients.
A native of El Paso, Texas, Dr. Urteaga graduated as a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University, where he ranked second in his class. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center and his surgical residency at Scott and White/Texas A&M University Health Science Center. Since 1997, he has been in private practice in New Braunfels and is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
Dr. Urteaga is also a clinical faculty member at the University of Texas Health Science Center and a consulting physician at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. He holds affiliations with several professional organizations, including the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Urteaga enjoys spending time with his family and engaging in activities like running, cycling, golf, and weight training. He lives in New Braunfels with his wife, Dr. Maria Lomba, and their children.
